UNB Students Against Rape and Intimidation
Formed by students in 2001 to address issues surrounding women's safety on campus. On January 30th, 2002, the UNBSRI made six demands of the UNB administration. They are asking for proper lighting in all areas of campus; safety mirrors in hallway corners and throughout all libraries; no more misogynistic, homophobic and racist porn to be sold on campus; a well publicized zero-tolerance policy for misogynistic, racist and homophobic aggression; indoor and outdoor distress phones; and a women's centre with full-time staff members and an office space for the organization, Spectrum. E-mail them at: unbsri@yahoo.com
Sexual Harassment Policy
The University of New Brunswick has a clearly defined sexual harassment policy that applies to both faculty and students alike. The list of sexual harassment officers, and the policy itself, can be found at: UNB Sexual Harassment Policy and Procedure website.
