Previous Degrees Obtained:
Bachelor of Arts (Honours), University of British Columbia (Vancouver), Supervisor: Dr. Boris Gorzalka

Tri-Council Funding:
Joseph-Armand Bombardier Canada Graduate Scholarship (Doctoral Award), Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada ($105,000)

Research Interests:

My research interests are in human sexuality, specifically sexuality in relationships. For my M.A. research apprenticeship, I investigated the messages that individuals receive from their romantic partner about their bodies and how these messages impact sexual well-being. For my dissertation, I am investigating sexual satisfaction in long-distance relationships. I have also conducted research on gender identity in collaboration with my supervisor and I am conducting an additional research project on sexting and it's relation to body image.

Clinical Experience:

Clinically, I have completed clinical practicum placements in child and youth mental health (Vancouver, BC), Counselling Services (Fredericton, NB), as well as in neuropsychological assessment at the Stan Cassidy Centre for Rehabilitation (Fredericton, NB). I have also worked alongside Dr. Sandra Byers in her private practice with couples experiencing sexual difficulties.
