Clinical Placement/Setting: Currently on staff at the Addictions and Mental Health Services Fredericton, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Team

I work on an interdisciplinary team providing services to children and adolescents ranging in age from 3 to 19. My work involves a combination of individual psychotherapy, assessments (cognitive and psycho-diagnostic), family and group interventions (including a DBT group for adolescents and their families). Our clients present with a variety of primary mental health problems. My theoretical orientation is integrative, drawing strongly from cognitive-behavioural, dialectical behaviour therapy and interpersonal/existential approaches. I also have expertise in issues related to transgender health, providing assessment and psychotherapy for gender nonconforming youth and their families and serving as an advocate for the development of equitable healthcare and human rights in NB.
