Lee graduated from the University of New Brunswick with both a BPhil in interdisciplinary leadership studies, and a BA in Philosophy with honors, in which he specialized in ethics. Since graduating from UNB in 2007 he has completed an MA in Business Ethics through the Erasmus Mundus program. The program funds students from around the world to take a master's degree in multiple European schools. He attended Linkoping University in Linkoping, Sweden, and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim Norway. It was here that he wrote his thesis on the ethics and practice of including public consultation in nanotechnology development. After that, Lee went on to study law at the University of Toronto.
Currently, he is in the middle of completing a law degree at the University of Toronto.
