Roger Seamon

Dr. Roger Seamon is Professor Emeritus of English at the University of British Columbia, where he taught in the Department of English and Arts One, a first year humanities program, which he also directed at various times. He is a former Secretary-Treasurer of the Canadian Society of Aesthetics, and after his retirement from UBC in 2002, he taught Literary Theory and English 2902 at UNB. He also taught modern poetry in Bhutan as part of UNB's "Bhutan Project." His main research interests are literary theory, the philosophy of art, and the history of academic criticism. His primary current interest is the five novels that comprise Karl Ove Knausgaard's My Struggle.
