Robert Gray has had over ten short scripts produced including the award-winning shorts “alice & huck” executive produced and starring actress Allison Mack (Smallville) and “Blink” starring actor Mark Hildreth (V, Ressurection). He also wrote an original TV pilot for actor Maurie Chaykin and was one of the creators of the Screenwriting program at Vancouver Film School where he was head of that program for five years.

He is the co-producer/organizer with the NB Film Co-op of the popular 48 Hour Filmmaking Competition. He is a senior editor of numerocinqmagazine.com, and is chiefly responsible for Numero Cinq at the Movies,” the weekly film column. 

He wrote two novels which were published in serial fashion in Xtra West. His first collection of short stories, Crisp was published by NeWest press in 2010 and he is revising his second collection for publication, tentatively entitled Entropic. His poetry and prose have appeared in numerous journals including The FiddleheadMalahat Review, ARC, and Douglas College Review

In his current research, he is exploring women and vengeance in contemporary television, film, video games, and comics. He is also working on a research project looking at marginal representations of zombies in film and is also continuing research on the films of Wong Kar Wai.
