Jacques Poitras

Jacques Poitras is the provincial affairs reporter for CBC News in New Brunswick. As a journalist he has won national awards from the Radio and Television News Directors Association and the National Newspaper Awards. He also taught journalism part-time at St. Thomas University from 2007 to 2012. He is the author of three books on New Brunswick politics and society. The Right Fight: Bernard Lord and the Conservative Dilemma was published in 2004. His second book, Beaverbrook: A Shattered Legacy (2007), was shortlisted for the B.C. Award for Canadian Non-Fiction and the National Business Book Award. His third book, Imaginary Line: Life on an Unfinished Border (2011), was shortlisted for the Shaughnessy Cohen Award for Political Writing.
