Atlantic Canada Research Partnership

(A.k.a. Sub-Node 1 based at UNB)

  • This sub-team (or “Sub-Node 1”) coordinated from UNB is one of several sub-teams across Atlantic Canada contributing to a CURA-like research program on the social economy funded by SSHRC.  The general purposes of the sub-node 1 team are to profile (or map) and compare the social economy sectors in the four Atlantic Provinces and to analyze policies pertaining to these sectors.
  • Activities began in November 2005 and some preliminary work has been done to date in the preparation of a large-scale survey of cooperatives and credit unions in Atlantic Canada.  Other activities are to follow. 
  • The research project “Social Economy and Sustainability - Atlantic Canada Research Partnership (a.k.a. Sub-Node 1 based at UNB)” finished in 2011.  FINAL REPORT
