Dr. Elizabeth Blaney has been involved in a number of projects with MMFC since 1998. She participated in the development of the FVI certificate program and she teaches a number of the courses in the program. She also teaches women's studies. Elizabeth is the coordinator of the Canadian observatory on the justice system's response to intimate partner violence. She has worked on various MMFC projects including PRISM (Probing Rural Issues & Selecting Methods) and in partnership with the Fredericton City Police to develop a train-the-trainer manual entitled Understanding the Impact of Intimate Partner Violence on Police Officers to Better Intervene. Elizabeth also collaborates on various research projects. Her research interests are violence against women, social policy, and justice system responses to intimate partner violence. Elizabeth holds a PhD in Education from UNB.
