Answers

When are my tuition and fees due?

Fee payment due dates require that all payments be made prior to UNB Student Accounts & Receivables' end of business day.  Click here for hours of operation.

I am an International Student; How can I pay my tuition and fees?

International Students: Pay your tuition in your own currency!  Click here for details.

What happens if I miss the fee payment deadline OR I've made payment via online banking or Plastiq and my payment is not yet on my student account?

A late payment fee of $75.00 will be applied to your student account if your payment is not received by 4:30 pm on the due date.  When paying by online banking, please allow 3-5 business days processing time.  For payments via Plastiq, please allow 5-10 business days.

What happens if my IT services are frozen and I am de-registered from my courses?

You will lose access to Desire2Learn and computer labs. You will not be able to access library books or your email. Your courses are then removed from your record. At that point, you also lose access to the University Recreation services and all health insurance benefits.

You will be charged $125 to be added back into your courses.

What if I can't pay my tuition and fees in full, by the deadline?

Please meet with a supervisor at Financial Services to discuss your situation, as a payment plan may be arranged with you.

I am getting a student loan.  Do I still need to meet with a supervisor?

We will send you an email notification that we have processed your loan.  If you have not received this notification from us prior to the fee deadline, you do need to contact Financial Services to avoid the late payment fee.

I have made a payment arrangement.  Do I still pay interest?

Yes.  Interest will be charged on all outstanding balances the month after the fee payment deadline.  Interest is calculated at an annual rate of 12 % and is based on the daily account balance.  It is applied to the student's account on a monthly basis.

How do I know what my tuition and fees are?

You have access to view your student fee statement (account balance) at any time.  Just log into eServices, click on the "Financial" tab, then "Fee Statement".

Can my parents or spouse contact you about my student account?

In keeping with recently revised federal privacy legislation, parents, guardians, spouses and other third parties require consent from the student for whom they wish to access account information to make tuition and fee payments. Students may specify who has access to their tuition and fee balance information by filling out an online financial consent form (click here for instructions).

We can only provide fee information to parents, spouse or any other individual, if you have completed this form.

Who should I contact if I need further information?
