Anne Marie joined the Faculty of Business in April 1988 assuming her current position in 2007. 

She is presently an advisor of students in business programs at UNBSJ. She received an Excellence in Advising Award from the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA) in 2008.

Prior to joining the University of New Brunswick, she was the Secretary Manager of six commodity marketing boards and associations headquartered in Kentville, Nova Scotia, and worked in various family enterprises for over 20 years.

Volunteer activities

She served the Scouts Canada organization for 14 years as a leader, district service team member, leader trainer, trainer of new trainers and World Jamboree volunteer.  She is a multiple Gilwellian and has received a number of local, regional and national citations.  

She has sat on the boards of directors of the United Way of Greater Saint John, and the Saint John Seafarers’ Mission, and on the Education Committee of the Saint John Regional Council of the Institute of Canadian Bankers.

Besides her work with Scouts Canada and the United Way, her volunteer activities have included fundraising for several organizations and literacy training through Read Saint John.  She has been an active volunteer with the Saint John Seafarers’ Mission (which offers a home away from home for professional seafarers and merchant mariners) for several years.

She is a charter member and has served as President, Vice-President, Treasurer and Shop Steward of CUPE Local 3339, Support Staff Workers of the University of New Brunswick, Saint John.

An animal lover, she currently shares her home with 6 rescued cats and supports multiple animal welfare charities as well as medical and children’s charities.
