Familiarize Indigenous students with the UNB Fredericton campus and its programs through an informal and exciting summer camp experience. It will establish a partnership between UNB and First Nation communities that will build a foundation of trust with the students, communities and the university. Through engaging UNB faculty and Indigenous knowledge keepers, students will be exposed to a wealth of knowledge that will help students gain a better appreciation and understanding of Mi'kmaq and Wolastoqey histories, cultures and contemporary issues. Students will be given the opportunity to stay in residence, eat in meal hall, take part in campus tours, attend mock classes, learn about the different faculties and much more.
