UNB Water and Public Health Meeting-FR
Interested in volunteering abroad this summer?
This opportunity is open to everyone, so stop by our meeting on Sunday to learn more!
UNB Global Water and Public Health Brigades are looking for volunteers to come to Honduras for 10 days at the end of August to work on providing clean drinking water, preventing common illness and improving the quality of life of rural community members.
Public Health volunteers carryout in-home infrastructure projects to improve the health and hygiene of the communities we work in. They complete projects such as latrines, water storage pilas, concrete floors, eco-stoves and showers.
Water brigade volunteers work with technicians and community members to empower communities to access increased quantities of clean water through infrastructural development, water treatment, community leader training, and education.
All of the projects that Global Brigades completes are because of groups of students mobilizing and taking on these projects or parts of projects. It is based on our leadership and effort!
