| Biography |
|
Lucia Tramonte received her Ph.D. from the Faculty of Sociology at the Università degli Studi di Milano, Italy. Dr. Tramonte recently published the 2003 PISA Report for the Italian Lombardia Region. As a Post-Doctoral Fellow at CRISP she is involved in several projects. Her research interests include reading literacy, socio-economic segregation in educational systems, and the health and well-being of youth and adults. She is working on PISA, TIMSS, and PIRLS datasets in education, NLSCY in development and youth, and finally on the CCHS dataset to understand the impact of socio-economic and cultural variables on different social outcomes. Lucia applies quantitative methods to explore and analyse large datasets, cross-sectional and longitudinal data. She supported Dr Willms as a tutor in various HLM workshops and she teaches Quantitative Research Methods at the University of New Brunswick.
