CRISP researchers emphasize the bringing of research in the social sciences to bear on what actually happens in families, schools, and communities. Elements of CRISP’s knowledge mobilization strategy include traditional academic dissemination methods such as peer reviewed journal articles, conference presentations, an interactive web site devoted to the team’s research findings and methodological issues, as well as regular interactions with partner agencies.
The success of CRISP’s programs have also depended upon the development of clear, credible materials for a broader policy audience. These materials include edited volumes of literature reviews, articles in popular magazines, press lines, and a series of Policy Briefs and CRISPfacts, which summarize the most topical and important research findings from the institute and its wider networks.
