Strategic Resilience for First Responders

In partnership with Langara College

Strategic Resilience for First Responders

Strategic Resilience for First Responders interweaves modern neuroscience theory with resilience-based mind-body and somatic self-development tools. The program addresses the risk over time for vicarious trauma/Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) on a wide range of front line staff as they support traumatized individuals. It is known that repetitive invasion of another’s trauma can consciously and unconsciously subtly drain vital energy, impact personal feelings, values, judgements, relationships and other aspects of whole person functioning. A consistent level of high performance and decision-making requires resilience on multiple levels. This practical program is offered in partnership with Langara College.

Listen to Ruth Lamb, RN, MScN, CBHS, HTP, Ph.D discuss the program with CBC.
