Tai chi for health and well being. Introductory movements 2

Tai chi is an extensive system of movement developed in China and very popular throughout the world today. Slow and gentle movements are based on principles of roundness, sensitivity and balance. Tai chi is cited for its health benefits as well as for its supreme martial arts applications. This class focuses on daily practice for health and well being. This course will further your awareness and ability in tai chi principles of movement. Topics covered include: warm up movements, tai chi walking and part 2 of the Yang style tai chi form.

Dates: (WINTER) Tuesdays & Thursdays, March 13 - April 19, 2018 (6 weeks/ 12 classes)
Time: 7:30 - 8:30 am
Location: Artist’s studio- 61 Adelaide Street, Saint John
Course fee: $250 (plus HST)

About the instructor:

Paul Kasdan began meditation practice when he was 12 years old and has studied tai chi since the age of 14. Paul is now a little older than that and continues these practices for health and well-being. He has shared his skills and knowledge throughout the years by organizing classes and workshops. In addition to a career in orthopedic footwear and clinical software development, his primary interest is helping others approach questions about the meaning of life. "I think every human is in search of more meaning. I do not adhere to any particular belief system as answers to these questions but feel that meditation and tai chi practices can be a gateway to explore mindfulness."
