About the instructor: Carla Salazar was born in Lima, Peru. In September 2003, she moved to Canada with her family. When they first arrived in Canada, they lived in Toronto. Then, they luckily found Saint John, the place that now they call home. Carla enjoyed teaching Spanish at her house in Toronto- beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. Carla focuses her teaching style on student interaction, songs, story telling, word search and much more. She knows that students must speak to learn, so she creates a lot of space for students to practice their language skills. She enjoys doing handy craft, walking, baking, practicing Zumba, sharing time with seniors and working in her store- the L’il Shop of Science that she’s owned the past 4 years. Carla holds a Bachelor degree in Accounting from Inca Garcilaso de la Vega University in Lima – Peru.
