Spanish Beginners, Level 2
Develop your Spanish conversational skills in a relaxed, non-competitive atmosphere. The themes that will be covered in this course are household chores and family relationships and outings. By the end of this level, you will have basic vocabulary and be able to understand, ask and answer useful questions using simple sentences. This course will cover personal characteristics, expressing yourself and other cultural topics. You will learn contractions, some verbs in the indicative, prepositions, and object pronouns, as well as demonstrative adjectives and numbers to 1000.

About the instructor: Carla Salazar was born in Lima, Peru. In September 2003, she moved to Canada with her family. When they first arrived in Canada, they lived in Toronto. Then, they luckily found Saint John, the place that now they call home. Carla enjoyed teaching Spanish at her house in Toronto- beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. Carla focuses her teaching style on student interaction, songs, story telling, word search and much more. She knows that students must speak to learn, so she creates a lot of space for students to practice their language skills. She enjoys doing handy craft, walking, baking, practicing Zumba, sharing time with seniors and working in her store- the L’il Shop of Science that she’s owned the past 4 years. Carla holds a Bachelor degree in Accounting from Inca Garcilaso de la Vega University in Lima – Peru.
