Have you been meaning to make time for yourself to enjoy the hobby of sewing? Is it time to look at your sewing machine with a new perspective?
Enrol in a six week sewing course and learn fundamental skills that you will apply to the project of your choice. We will begin with basic layout and cutting technique to reading and interpreting commercial patterns and skills to complete your fabulous, stylish clothing or home decor. Master your fear of your machine and become more comfortable with the use and care of your own machine. Whatever skill level, whether beginner, intermediate or novice who would like an evening out to focus on a sewing project and gain more confidence; this course is for you!
Supplies needed for the first night of instruction:
**Participants will choose a project that they feel that they are comfortable beginning with and may be able to begin a second project in the six week time frame.

Dates: 6 weeks, Mondays, January 21 - February 25, 2013 OR
Mondays April 22 - June 3, 2013
Time: 6:30- 8:30 p.m.
Location: Saint Rose School, Art Room, 700 Manawagonish Rd.
Course fee: $125 (plus HST)
About the instructor: Margo Duff has thirty-two years of sewing experience. She holds an education degree in Home Economics from the University of New Brunswick, graduating in 1991. She has taught sewing to middle school students, children and adults for the City of Saint John Recreation Department for many years. She takes pride in providing sewing instruction in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Enjoy an evening out with your friends as you learn a new hobby!
