Point and Shoot Photo Basics

 CCOM 2801

If you are new to digital photography and completely baffled by your digital camera, this course is for you!

Starting with the buttons and cords, we will discuss your camera’s features and how to make them best work for you. You will receive a balance of technical and creative insight, become more familiar with your camera and the technology involved in digital photography, and learn basic compositional techniques to help you take better photos.

Please note: This course is specifically for owners of basic 'Point & Shoot' digital compact cameras. For owners of DSLR cameras, we have the Digital Photo: SLR Basics Course.

Materials: Please bring your camera (with batteries fully charged), a pen and paper to take notes, and all your questions. It will be helpful for you to review your camera’s operating manual, and to be familiar with your camera’s menu, in order to develop your questions for the class in advance!
