Pampered Pooch – Basic Grooming and Care

This introductory course is designed for pet owners who would like to learn basic techniques in grooming maintenance and basic care of their precious pet. In this course you will be learning: dog handling, brushing/combing, useful tools, nail trimming and foot care, ear cleaning and maintenance, anal gland inspection and checking as well as parasite detection and recognition. Dog nutrition, oral health care and basic first aid may also be discussed.

Dates: Thursdays, November 7 – November 28, 2013 (4 weeks)
Time: 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.
Location: Puddy 'n Pooch Palace, 688 Rothesay Ave.
Course fee: $85 (+HST)
About the instructor: Yvonne Steeves, AHT graduated as an Animal Health Technologist at the Nova Scotia Agricultural College in Truro, NS in 1995. She worked and continued to study in the local Veterinary and Grooming Industry for over 17 years before Opening her own Pet Resort Puddy 'n Pooch Palace in 2012. Her two main interests in Veterinary Medicine were dentistry and allergies. She resides in Rothesay with her husband Kevin, her two children (Cameron and Danika), one Dog (Louis) and one cockatiel (Conroy).
