Lightroom Basics

Expand your digital photography skills, improve your photographs, boost your creativity and manage your photographs with Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. Lightroom provides the tools you need to enhance, correct and catalogue your images. Experiment with image-editing, create slideshows, web galleries and much more. You’ll need a fully charged laptop and a free 30-day trial copy of Lightroom (available online). Prior knowledge of Photoshop is not required.
Materials: Laptop computer (fully charged) and an extension cord. Also please download one of the free 30-day trial copies of Lightroom (full version trial "Lightroom 3") available online (download the day of or the day before the class starts).

About the instructor: Rod Stears operates a professional photography studio specializing in commercial, product and industrial photography. His clients include major corporations such as Blue Cross, Aliant, NB Power, Irving Companies and various magazine publications. As a product photographer he has done work for Sabian Cymbals, Aliant, Canadian Press, Cooke Aquaculture and many others.
Rod has been teaching at the NB College of Craft and Design since 1982. He has also taught at the University of New Brunswick, and the prestigious Maine Photographic Workshop. Rod’s educational background is Art History. Visit Rod’s website at www.rodstears.com and check him put on Facebook.
