Arabic Level 1

 CCOM 2713

This is an introductory course for the Arabic language. This is for you, the absolute beginner, to develop a basic knowledge of Arabic conversation, writing and sounds. You will learn to write Arabic letters in various positions and identify the basic phonics of the language in order to achieve a basic proficiency in the language. Lina will focus on speaking and listening and you will be introduced to reading and writing Arabic as well.

By the end of this course, you will be able to read and comprehend simple Arabic texts, and be able to converse functionally with some limited proficiency. You should be able to carry out face-to-face conversations on limited familiar topics.

This class has helped me in conversations with my friends both speaking and listening but I think the best thing has been the opportunity to share something as personal as speaking their language to show them how much I respect and care for them as well as being able to add a whole new dimension to our relationship.
