Viva! Band Camp for beginners

Ages 10-13

Choose your instrument and let the fun begin.
The Viva beginner instrumental music camp is designed to give students the opportunity to learn to play a musical instrument with high-level instruction in group sessions as well as experience playing in a full band.

The students will have a chance to explore rhythm and sound with creative theory classes using visual art, and dance. Basic theory and history will be introduced in these engaging sessions.
A mini-concert will be presented to family and friends at the end of this full week. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to come to this new and exciting camp.

Entrance requirements: Students should be between the ages of 10 and 13. The age of the camper can be negotiated based on the maturity of the child. No prior experience is necessary.

Scholarships can be applied for in the application.

Instruments offered:

  • flute
  • clarinet and saxophone
  • trumpet
  • horn
  • trombone
  • tuba/euphonium

Dates: August 8-12, 2011
Location: Memorial Hall, 9 Bailey Drive, UNB Campus, Fredericton, NB
Fee: $175 (without instrument rental)
        $185 (includes instrument rental)
