Using your Digital Camera: the Basics

learning digital camera imageIf you are new to digital photography and completely baffled by your digital camera, this course is for you!

Starting with the buttons and cords, we will discuss your camera’s features and how to make them best work for you. You will receive a balance of technical and creative insight, become more familiar with your camera and the technology involved in digital photography, and learn basic compositional techniques to help you take better photos. 

This course is appropriate for both point and shoot cameras and digital SLR cameras.
Bring your camera (with batteries fully charged), a pen and paper to take notes, and all your questions.

Instructor: Megan Pauls

About the Instructor: Megan Pauls graduated from the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design with her diploma in Studio Photography in the spring of 2009. She holds an honours degree in Fine Art from the University of Manitoba. Megan currently owns her own studio, Dragon-Fly Photography Studio with her business partner Erin Legare. Her personal work covers a spectrum of topics from portraiture and landscape to created environments and macro photography. She is a self-proclaimed geek and loves working in PhotoShop.
