Take your Game Design skills to the next level with this intensive two-day workshop. Professional Game Design II is a continuation of Part I of this course (Part I is a perquisite or an equivalent experience in game maker or game design in flash). Let experienced game designer Jeff Mundee show you the ropes and guide you through the process used in game studios to develop games. During the workshop, you'll design and build a small game using game maker. The design of these games will be based on in-depth tutorials on level design, interface design, game mechanics, and managing scope. You will also learn about the principals of design, ranging from how to intuitively lead a player through a space to how positive and negative re-enforcement work to compel a player to perform actions. You'll leave the workshop with a playable prototype game that you can can take home for others to experience!
