Matting Your Photos
There is something timeless and classic about a finely matted photo. Matting puts the finishing touches on and adds visual appeal to your favourite photos. In this one day workshop, let photographer Roger Smith walk you through the basics steps of how to choose, measure, cut and use matting…By the end of the workshop, you can either display your matted photo as-is or go on to frame it!
Materials: Please bring a photo of your choice. White mat board will be provided for photos that are between 5" x 7" and 11" x 14" . However, you are welcome to bring your own matting for larger photos (no larger than 11x14 or 10x15 ). Frames may be discussed, time permitting.

He recently retired from UNB after over 35 years as scientific photographer for the Biology Department. Roger is a member of the SilverFish photo collective and Photo Fredericton camera club, and he became a juried member of the NB Crafts Council in 2001.
