French Intermediate Level I

chateau imageExpand and improve your French conversational skills with this Intermediate level class. To get the full benefit of this class, you should be able to form sentences and understand the gist of a conversation at a normal speed, if it is about a familiar topic. It’s recommended that you complete Beginners Level II or have an equivalent knowledge of the language. There will be a 15-minute period each class of “Comment dit-on?” where you can ask your own questions about general subjects and situations. Voila!

Materials: The course textbook is not mandatory, but may be helpful as a reference and exercise book: "Schaum's Outline of French Grammar" by Mary Crocker (paperback) Fifth Edition - Schaum's Outline Series. This book is available on www.amazon.ca.

About the instructor: Having a French father and a Danish mother, Charlotte was raised in a multicultural environment. She grew up in Southern France and worked part-time for two years as a translator between French and Danish. She later moved to Denmark and worked for the Cultural Department of Roskilde, while giving private French lessons. She did her BBA Honours at UNB and worked with the NB Department of Culture, Tourism and Healthy Living, working in both French and English. Charlotte now works for the International Relations Office at UNB as their International Education Officer. Her passion in life is to travel and discover new cultures, as well as to share her own. She has also lived in Morocco and has visited over 10 other countries.
