French Intermediate Level 1

Parlez-vous français? French Intermediate I reinforces and builds upon the content and skills developed in French Beginners III. The emphasis is on easing students into conversational French. Learned grammatical concepts are put to use in a variety of conversation-based exercises that strengthen comprehension and self-expression. Amongst other skills, you will finish the course knowing how to provide a summary, describe a situation, give an opinion, and converse in basic contexts. 

For this course, you should be able to:

·         Give and ask directions
·         Use proper verbs to describe chores at work/home etc.
·         Recount past/present/future events
·         Use work lingo in day-to-day applications
·         Describe people/objects/places

Materials: The course textbook is: "Alter Ego, Méthode de français A2" by Annie Berthet (paperback) First Edition (2006) - hachette français langue étrangère. This book is available on Amazon (please note that the CD or workbook is optional).

About the Instructor:

Antonio De Lellis has been teaching French and Italian since 1984. He has taught with Confederation College in Thunder Bay, Dalhousie University in Halifax, Athène Language training in Fredericton, St. Thomas University, Okanagan College in Vernon B.C. and UNB, where he’ll be returning this coming Spring. Antonio has a Bachelor of Arts with First Class Honours, specializing in Languages.
