CCOM 1312
Drypoint is a printmaking medium, which involves artfully ‘scratching’ an image into a copper plate, inking the plate, and printing an image from the plate on dampened paper using an intaglio press. You will learn about intaglio printing, where drypoint fits in, and about the materials used. You’ll also see examples from the past and from contemporary artists using the medium. The instructor will demonstrate the process and then each participant will have the opportunity to work on and complete at least one image and produce as many prints from it as time allows.
