Digital Photo Basics
If you are new to digital photography and completely baffled by your digital camera, this course is for you!
Starting with the buttons and cords, we will discuss your camera’s features and how to make them best work for you. You will receive a balance of technical and creative insight, become more familiar with your camera and the technology involved in digital photography, and learn basic compositional techniques to help you take better photos.
Please note: This course is specifically for owners of basic 'Point & Shoot' digital compact cameras. For owners of DSLR cameras, we have the Digital Photo: SLR Basics Course.
Materials: Please bring your camera (with batteries fully charged), a pen and paper to take notes, and all your questions.

About the Instructor:
Gary Weekes has been in the photography industry for over 25 years - first working in camera stores as a salesperson to eventually owning and operating a small but growing photographic business www.weekesphotography.com. His commissioned work covers many different photographic disciplines, maintaining an emphasis on quality and sensitivity to his clients' needs.
From working in a large studio in NYC to Hasselblad in the UK, Gary has an abundance of photographic knowledge and experience from which to teach from. He has guest lectured at the London College of Communications (UK) and was Department Head of Digital Photography at the Centre for Arts and Technology (Canada). He is currently exploring fine art photography, with a view to an exhibition in the near future.
