Creative Basket Making
A tisket a tasket, let's make some baskets…What is more beautiful, yet useful than a basket? Here’s your chance to try your hand at the age old process of basket weaving. With artist Bronwyn Gallagher as your guide, you’ll learn about different weaving materials and basic dyeing methods, as well as try at least three different weaving techniques - flat tray, round reed, and random weave.
Materials: Please bring $25 cash (payable to the instructor) for all your materials.

About the instructor:
Bronwyn Gallagher attended the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design, where she received a Diploma in Advanced Studies (2009), as well as a Diploma of Fine Craft in Textiles (2008) and a Foundation Visual Arts Certificate (2006). It’s also where she discovered her love of weaving and naturally dyeing. Bronwyn has been the recipient of numerous awards and scholarships for her work. She operates a seasonal retail gallery out of her home in Gagetown and works as a Gallery and Weaving Technician at the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design for the rest of the year.
