Chinese Beginners Level II

Continue to improve your Chinese conversational skills. If you have a basic Chinese vocabulary, can form simple sentences and understand some spoken language as long as it is slow and simple, then this course is for you. By the end of this class, you will be able to use complete sentences, as well as formulate and respond to questions. To get the full benefit of this class, it is recommended that you complete Chinese Beginners Level I or have an equivalent knowledge of the language.

Materials: It would be helpful to purchase Lonely Planet's Mandarin Phrasebook (CD not required).

About the instructor: Jasmine Murat was born and raised in Beijing, China. She has a B.A. in Chinese Language and Literature from Beijing University, and a Master’s degree in Education from Syracuse University. She has taught Chinese in Canada for more than 15 years and she also had a career in journalism. She enjoys travel, Chinese cooking, writing and volunteering for immigrants and international student communities.
