Practice basic techniques and skills with the inimitable Nick DeVries. Learn to read music and perform simple melodies. Explore the complete range an acoustic guitar can make. All you need is a guitar!
Materials: Along with your guitar, please bring a music stand (approximately $11 at Tony’s Music Box). A text ($11): Alfred’s Basic Guitar Method, Course #1, is available from Nick at the first class.

About the Instructor: Originally from the Netherlands, Nick DeVries is a music enthusiast, who says that he’s a born musician, “with music in his toes, fingers, head and feet”. He has a degree in Music Education from McGill University and been involved with music for most of his working life, having worked for 34 years in various Canadian army bands. Since retiring, Nick can often be found performing with “Nick’s Dixies” at the Fredericton Jazz Festival and other events around town.
