Is there never enough time in a day to get it all done? Are you often overwhelmed with work? Learn how to get your priorities straight and manage your work more efficiently. This course will help you put your focus on the right things. You cannot manage time, you can only manage yourself within time. This course will explore tips and strategies for getting organized and communicating effectively with others so that you may maintain your focus.
Course Objectives
Participants will:
- Explore current time management strategies * Apply a priority management matrix to current work
- Develop strategies for interruptions, difficult requests and procrastination
- Practice communication techniques for delegating
- Discuss ways to manage technology
- Examine tips for getting organized
- Create an action plan
Who should attend?
Anyone that tries to fit 12 hours in one work day, cannot get projects done in time or needs tips on how to manage their work within time.

Instructor
Joanne Fraser's management background in the private, public and international non-government sectors brings a wealth of experience to her training and facilitation work. For the past twelve years she has worked as an independent consultant. Currently Ms. Fraser is an associate of RiverSystems: Leadership, Strategy & Organizational Development providing training and facilitation services for government, non-government and private sector clients. She has designed and delivered training workshops in project management, strategic planning, leadership skills, interpersonal communication, coaching basics, team building and negotiation skills.
Joanne has a keen interest in helping individuals and groups learn from and adapt to change. Ms. Fraser has a Certificate in Adult Education from St. Francis Xavier University. She holds a BSc degree from the University of Saskatchewan and a MSc degree in Comparative Development and International Policy from the University of Bristol, England.
