Actively using innovation in companies/organizations is the key to survival. Join Pol Vincter as he teaches you how to use innovation and critical thinking to heighten your team's performance and results. Innovation can be defined as the capacity to imagine new ways of providing improved service to a constantly evolving consumer base. In addition, innovation has been correlated to low turnover and high job satisfaction. As such, the wise manager realizes that they need to cultivate innovation within their team. This one-day seminar will provide an introduction to innovation using "The Creativity Tools Memory Jogger", a guide for creative thinking.
Objectives:
- Define creativity and explain why it is needed.
- Identify behaviours, which encourage creativity.
- Explain the relationship between creativity and innovation.
- Explain the seven-step improvement model.
- Identify and explain three creativity tools.
- Apply at least two creativity tools and approaches to the workplace.

Instructor
Pol Vincter is originally from Belgium, where his primary and secondary education took place. Pol’s post-secondary training includes the Regular Officer Training Program of the Canadian Armed Forces as well as Concordia University where he studied mathematics and physics and obtained his B.Sc. Pol has taught and worked briefly for Ontario Hydro and Nordair Airlines.
He has also traveled extensively across Canada managing all aspects of project management and has worked and resided in every province except the Yukon and Saskatchewan. Pol discovered a love of working with and training adults and has been a consult with People Development Ltd. Pol lives in a home he designed and built in the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia.
