Italy: Selected Field Trips

The three-week study tour begins in Rome before heading south to the Gulf of Salerno, then across the Apennines and to the Adriatic Coast to Ortona. From there we proceed to the spectacular and infamous Monte Cassino region before travelling to the northern regions of Marche and Emilia-Romagna to explore battlefields and Italian partisan activities during the decisive 1944-45 clashes in the Rimini-Ravenna-Bologna area.
