Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Who can attend the Travel Study programs?
A. Travel Study programs are open to everyone 18 years of age or older who would like to combine their love of travel with a cultural learning experience. Past participants include UNB and Non-UNB students, alumni, retirees, and seniors just to name a few.

Q. Can the courses I take during my Travel Study program be transferred to my school?
A.
All students should consult with your academic advisor prior to registering for travel study courses to ensure the course credits apply to your particular program.

  • UNB students: Your Travel Study courses will automatically be shown on your transcript.
  • Visiting students: You are advised to consult with your academic advisor and the Registrars Office of your home school. You will need to request a permission letter in order to apply to the Travel Study Program and request a UNB transcript upon completion.

Q. Can I attend a Travel Study program without being a UNB student?
A.
Travel Study Programs are geared towards undergraduate students and offer undergraduate level course credit. Students not enrolled in a degree program are welcome and can participate in the courses. Please contact us at  travelstudy@unb.ca for more information.

Q. How do I know if my registration has been accepted?

A. You will receive a confirmation email upon submission of your application and receipt of your $1000 program fee payment.

Q. Can I register for more than one program?

A. You can register for more than one program providing the program dates do not conflict. If you register for more than one program, you will be required to pay the $1000 program fee down payment for each program. Travel Study Programs are open on a first-come first-serve basis. Spaces are limited so register early!

Q. Can I still register for a program after the final registration date?

A. We encourage you to apply early because space is limited. However, if space is available, then you can still apply. Please contact us after the final application date to verify if space is available.
