Fredericton’s history, influenced by aboriginal, French and English cultures, is rich in unique characters and momentous events, making it the perfect spot to immerse yourself while investigating your own family roots.
Genealogy researcher and instructor Rose Staples will guide you through the process of using land records, birth, death and marriage records, probate, court and church records and vital statistics to research the history of your New Brunswick ancestors.
With her
assistance, you will spend time each day tracing your family history at the
Provincial Archives of New Brunswick. You’ll
visit the Beaverbrook Art Gallery, participate in local cultural
events, and take a walk back in time with guided tours of the York Sunbury Museum, Old Government House, and other
historical sites.
Trace your roots and discover yourself in the beautiful city of stately elms!
Package includes genealogy instruction, research assistance at Provincial Archives, guided history and culture tours, meals, and accommodation at the historic Carriage House Inn.
