Programs

Band/orchestra programs

  • Woodwind, brass, percussion and string students should have at least one year experience and must provide their own instruments.
  • Students will be asked to perform a short audition upon their arrival so that they may be placed in the appropriate ensemble.

Choral programs

  • No prior experience required.
  • They are assigned to groups on the basis of age and experience with no audition.

Special programs

  • Piano camp: The minimum level for participation is Grade 8 RCM or equivalent.
  • Classical guitar: The minimum level for participation is Grade 4 RCM or equivalent.
  • eMusic: Create music on a computer, iPad, or iPhone. Students will explore music composition, arranging, and performance. No experience on a traditional instrument is required. Ages 13 and up.

Programs for young children

  • Youth strings: Half-day camp for students with some experience on string instruments.
  • Exploring Arts and Music: Full-day camp that introduces children to the relationship between the arts. Children will draw sound, paint music, invent instruments, sing shapes, and much more.
  • Musical Adventures: Full-day camp that explores different aspects of music, including recorder, composition and choir.
