Mixed Media Masks & Models (6-10)

CKID 2026

Enter the marvelous and mysterious world of masks and models. You’ll begin by making your first mask out of papier-mâché. Then try your hand using other materials and themes to see the full range of what’s possible. Individualize your artwork, making them unique using a variety of decorating techniques, including the chance to add feathers and sequins to finish off masks. Along the way, you’ll learn about the history of masks and their role in history, such as in ancient Venetian life. You’ll also design and make models, which could range from 3-D mini projects to large scale endeavors…. and could be as far fetched as your imagination!
