TME 3213 is designed to prepare participants for the management practices which they might expect to encounter in a progressive organization. Many of these practices involve the standardization and continuous improvement of business processes. The course explores implementation of Lean and Six Sigma, as well as ISO 9000, the international standard on quality management. It also focuses on the use of continuous improvement and Statistical Process Control (SPC) concepts, which lead to fundamentally new ways of thinking about innovation and problem solving. Prerequisite: 80 credit hours of approved courses, or permission of the program Chair. |

| Course Format: |
TME 3213 is an introductory course on modern management practices. Through its five modules, the course will introduce you to some of the more popular management concepts being implemented by progressive organizations. Through the use of online content, exercises and examples, you will learn the benefits of these concepts and how to begin implementing the techniques in an organization. |

| Assignments & Examinations: |
Quizzes: There will be a total of five online quizzes during the course (one for each module). Each quiz will consist of ten questions (True/False and/or Multiple Choice). Assignments: There will be a total of four assignments during the course. Final Exam: Upon completion of all other course work, a final examination will be invigilated. It must be written no later than six months from the effective commencement date, unless application has been made, and approval granted, for an extension of time.
