A general survey of perspectives and methods in selected areas of psychology including learning, memory, cognitive and biological psychology. Students will be asked to participate in various learning and research activities. Some course credit may be earned by participation in these activities. |

| Course Features: |
The course material is covered in 8 chapters, which are outlined in the Course Outline. Each chapter has an associated lecture, which involves audio, slide, and note information. The course is self-paced, as students can work through each of the chapters in whichever order is preferred. An invigilated final exam can be scheduled once the student has completed all of the chapter materials. |

The course includes 8 modules that correspond to the first 8 chapters of the Weiten and McCann textbook. For each module, students are required to: There is an invigilated final exam, which is completed once all 8 quizzes have been completed. There are also opportunities to earn extra course credit, which are detailed in the Course Outline. |

| Assignments & Examinations: |
There are eight quizzes (20 multiple choice questions each) worth a total of 40% of the course grade. There is a final exam (100 multiple choice questions, which covers all chapters) that is worth 60% of the course grade. There are also opportunities to earn 5% bonus marks toward the final course grade. Additional details are provided in the Course Outline.
