MATH 0863

A review of high school Mathematics topics. Topics include: Number basics, manipulation of algebraic expressions, equations and inequalities, analytic geometry, linear and quadratic functions, polynomial and rational functions, exponential and logarithm functions, trigonometric functions.
Note: This course is designed to serve as preparation for Calculus at the University level.

The materials for the course consist of lecture notes and video clips. Homework assignments on each section and a final exam to be written.

The material is organised into the following sections:
1.  Numbers and the Basics
2.  Completing the Square
3.  Solving Equations
4.  Functions and their Graphs
5.  Trigonometry
6.  Composite and Inverse Functions
7.  Logarithmic and Exponential Functions

Course work consists of two components: written homework, and a final exam.
