This course develops fundamental quantitative methods in order to evaluate engineering projects from financial and economic standpoints as elements of a simple economic model building.

Prerequisite:

The course is restricted to students with at least 60 ch completed.

Assignments & Examinations:

There are 13 tests associated with each of 13 course topics. Students will have two attempts at each, and the highest score will be chose. Each test contributes 2% to the final mark or 26% in total. There is a midterm exam after completion of the first 6 topics which contributes 14% to the final mark. Final exam contributes 60% to the final mark, is written online, and has to be arranged in advance with the College of Extended Learning. Topic tests are multiple-choice tests. Midterm and final exams along with multiple-choice questions include numerical problems.

All mid-term exams and final exams for online courses will be invigilated at an approved time and location. Please refer to the Online Exam Request Form to book.

Time Limit:

6 months from registration date. All course exams and/or assignments must be completed by the designated end date of your course.

Fees:

Online courses are subject to an additional $100 non-refundable online fee per course. Fees are subject to change by the Board of Governors.
