Please read the criteria for each award before completing the application form. This will ensure that you provide the Awards Committee with the necessary information required to properly assess your application

NOTE: Required Fields are marked with an asterisk (*)

  • Students registered full-time in a university during the previous Fall or Winter term are not eligible for a Part-Time Undergraduate Student Award
  • The majority of part time awards include "financial need" as a condition. Please ensure that you fully complete the "Income and Expenses Information" so that the Awards Committee will be able to assess your application
  • Only successful applicants will be notified via email upon receipt of an award

The Awards Committee assesses part-time awards on a term by term basis. Qualified applicants may apply once each term. To be considered for an award for the upcoming term, submit your application by the appropriate term deadline.

Income and Expense Information

List your course expenses and income: (Fall applicants should include expenses for first term and full year courses. Winter applicants should include only the expenses for second term. Likewise Summer applicants should include only the expenses for the one appropriate term.)

To determine whether or not a student is in financial need, consideration is given to student’s income, number of dependents under the age of 18, partner’s income (if applicable), student loan and/or other pertinent financial details provided by the student.

By submitting this application, as the applicant, I affirm that:

  1. The information which I have provided on this application form is, to the best of my knowledge and belief, true, accurate and complete, and I authorize the University to verify any or all of the above statements if it is deemed necessary; and provide pertinent information regarding my application for this award to the donor or their agent if necessary or requested by them.
  2. It may be necessary for the University to relay certain information regarding the financial and academic situation of the applicant to the donor of the award. I hereby authorize the University to provide the pertinent information regarding my application for this award to the donors or their agent, if necessary or requested by them.

NOTE: Demonstrated financial need is a requirement for most part-time awards. The "Income and Expenses" portion must be completed in full if you wish the award committee to consider your application.

Special Notes:

Scholarship applicants who have completed less than 30 credit hours at UNB but have credits from another university must ensure that an official transcript is on file in the Registrar's office at UNB. These cases will be considered individually.

Please notify the Committee of any changes in proposed course load. Several awards are made on the basis of the number of courses taken.

Students registering in our Open Access Learning Program must register within one month of receiving notice of the award or the award will be canceled.

Only successful applicants will be notified via email upon receipt of an award. A note will be posted on the Part Time Undergraduate Student Awards site when awards have been issued.
