Rhona Berengut Executive Education Program: Transforming LeadershipRHONA G. BERENGUT is an award winning part-time faculty member of York University’s Schulich School of Business, Program Director for SEEC’s Professional Certificate in Business Administration, and founding partner of SIGMA Strategic Solutions Inc. where she works with organizations to align people, performance, and strategic purpose. Her areas of expertise include: managing strategic change, innovation and critical thinking, strategic agility, strategic planning and facilitation, organizational design, and interpersonal effectiveness. Rhona has worked with clients in for-profit, not-for-profit sectors as well as the voluntary sector. Among her many credentials, Rhona is a Certified Planning and Facilitation Coach, and Virtual CEO Administrator.

 

William A. Draves Executive Education Program: Transforming LeadershipWILLIAM A. DRAVES is President of the Learning Resources Network (LERN), author, consultant, and futurist.  He has taught more than 6,000 faculty members how to teach online.  William has given presentations in Russia, Australia, Japan, Mexico, Germany, England, and throughout the U.S. and Canada.  He is also the author of “Advanced Teaching Online,”  “How to Teach Adults,” and “Energizing the Learning Environment.”

He is one of the most quoted experts on lifelong learning and online learning by the nation’s media, having been interviewed by The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Washington Post, and Wall Street Journal.  William holds a master’s degree in adult education from George Washington University.  He has authored six books and speaks throughout the world.

William is co-author of Nine Shift: Work, life and education in the 21st Century.  The BBC calls Nine Shift “Fascinating” and aired a radio program on it worldwide. The American Institute of Architects notes, “Not since John Nesbitt’s Megatrends has a book hit the mark so clearly.” 
He is co-author of the new book The Pedagogy of the 21st Century, a startlingly visionary yet pragmatic outline of how learning, teaching, and education will be transformed to meet the needs of society in this century.

 

William Howatt Executive Education Program: Transforming LeadershipWILLIAM HOWATT holds degrees in Industrial/Organizational Psychology (Ph.D.), Adult Education (Ed.D.), and Post Doc Behavioral Science, University of California, Los Angeles, Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior.  He is known internationally for his expertisein Strategic HR, Organizational Learning Design, and Treatment of Addictive Disorders.

Dr. Howatt has published numerous books and articles, such as the Howatt HR Elements Series, and is an editor for the John Wiley series on Treating Addiction, as well as The Addiction Counselor’s Toolbox. His most recent book it TalOp, Taking the Guesswork out of Management, a foundational text for a management methodology that supports evidence-based decision-making at all levels of an organization.  Dr. Howatt authored Coach’s Corner, a monthly business column, in The Chronicle Herald for five years and now is a regular contributor to the Globe and Mail’s 9 to 5 Career column. He is a faculty member of the William Glasser Institute; he holds memberships in several professional associations, including the American Psychological Association and the International Coaching Federation.

Dr. Howatt's coaching clients include senior leaders in major manufacturing companies, executives of top tier financial institutions, independent professionals, and provincial and federal government leaders.

He has facilitated courses and authored programs for multiple organizations including: University of New Brunswick, Mount Saint Vincent University, UCLA, NSCC, Acadia University, NS Government, and NB Government.

 

Richard Hornsby Executive Education Program: Transforming LeadershipRICHARD HORNSBY is an active performer, educator, arts administrator, and arts advocate. His varied activities have had a positive effect on the development of the arts in New Brunswick and throughout Canada. His professional life and his volunteer work have enriched the lives of the people of New Brunswick and he continues to work for the betterment of the arts and the artist. 



Professionally, he has performed with the Toronto Symphony, National Arts Centre Orchestra, Symphony Nova Scotia, and New Music Concerts of Canada as well as frequently recording for CBC Radio of Canada. He continues performing as a recitalist, soloist, and chamber musician. He is a member of New Brunswick’s new music ensemble, Motion, which has recently toured throughout much of Canada and performed in New York City. 


He has also served on the faculties of the Royal Conservatory of Music (Toronto), the University of Toronto, and St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia, Canada. Currently he is Director of Music at the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton. 


 

Cindy Gordon Executive Education Program: Transforming LeadershipCINDY GORDON is the Founder of Helix Commerce International Inc., a company specializing in business innovation, collaboration commerce, and social media. Terra Forum is a leading innovation and portal organization headquartered in Brazil, Denmark and Canada, with over 195 FT employees with clients like: Dell Computers, CVRD, HSBS Johnson and Johnson, Vale, etc. Together, Helix Commerce International and Terra Forum deliver strategy to systems development requirements, extending their innovation and growth service delivery capabilities.

Cindy currently sits as a board director or board advisor to: Eloqua, QuickPlay Media, MedWorxx, TouchTown TV, and View 22. Cindy is also a founding member of the Toronto Angel Group and supports early stage companies accelerate their growth. She was also the Founder and Chair of the CEO Fusion Center, a not-for-profit organization to help accelerate early stage tech companies.

She has also been an active mentor for the University of Rotman Business School MBA graduates. Dr. Gordon is well published in business innovation strategies with over twelve books in the field of collaboration commerce, knowledge management, innovation, electronic commerce, and social media.

Cindy has recently published a new book, Business Goes Virtual that examines four virtual business strategies that are showing unprecedented opportunity. Other recent books include; Winning at Collaboration Commerce: The Next Competitive Advantage, Why Buy the Cow?, and Realizing the Importance of Corporate Portals.  In addition, The University of Western Business School’s book Women in the Lead, profiled Dr. Gordon as one of the top women in Canada for her corporate governance leadership.
