Spanish Beginners Level 2

Develop your Spanish conversational skills in a relaxed, non-competitive atmosphere. The themes that will be covered in this course are household chores and family relationships and outings. By the end of this level, you will have a basic vocabulary and be able to understand, ask and answer useful questions using simple sentences. This course will cover personal characteristics, expressing yourself and other cultural topics. You will learn contractions, some verbs in the indicative, prepositions, and object pronouns, as well as demonstrative adjectives and numbers to 1000.

About the instructor

Mary Fraser is originally from Nova Scotia, and has been living and teaching language in Rothesay, New Brunswick since 2014. Mary worked in Spain, France and Luxembourg before accepting a job in a Canadian private school setting. Mary teaches language lessons for all levels, with a focus on oral and conversational instruction in a relaxed atmosphere. Mary loves reading, writing, music and travel, and spending time with her daughters and husband Peter.

She is a watercolour artist, a children’s book author, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Modern Languages, a Bachelor of Education specializing in Spanish, French and English, and she is currently studying her Master’s degree at St. FX University researching the role confidence plays in language acquisition.
