Found Florals

Using collected metal, glass, china objects along with more traditional mosaic materials to create unique floral mosaics.

In this 4-week course, you will have a chance to use your playfulness and whimsy to create and one-of-a-kind floral mosaic using found objects. Take another look at common objects such as springs, nails, that broken china cup. Imagine petals, stamen, leafy tendrils. Let’s play!

No experience in mosaics is required and all materials and tools are supplied. Bring your ideas and sketches with you.

About the instructor

Sheryl Crowley has been creating original mosaic works since 2005. Her glass and ceramic murals may be seen at the newly built YMCA of Greater Saint John, the Jubilee Cruise Ship Terminal and the Centre scolaire et communautaire Samuel-de-Champlain. Currently, she is designing a donor wall for the Imperial Theatre of Saint John, NB. Sheryl works in traditional glass and ceramic along with metal materials to create images of whimsy and introspection. She utilizes both the usual and unusual in her works.

Sheryl holds degrees in both music and education, teaching for many years in the schools of District#6. She has been a professional member of the Society of American Mosaic Artists, Canadian Artists Representation Le Front Des Artistes Canadiens (CARFAC) and ArtsLinkNB. Fractured Art Mosaics and Sheryl may be found in Saint John, NB.
