Introduction to Photoshop

Have you ever had a photo you thought could look better? Maybe it is too dark, or the color is bad, or there is something in the photo you want to remove. Here’s a great chance to make your photos look even better.

In this class, learn about how to open, save, crop, brighten/darken, color correct, dodge and burn, plus do minor photo manipulation. If you have a digital copy of a photo that you've always wanted to fix up, bring it along.

Materials

You will need your own laptop and a recent copy of Photoshop. The trial version can be downloaded prior to the class. Also, bring any photos you want to work on. Please bring them on a USB stick/drive saved as a Jpeg or a Tiff.

About the instructor

Stephen has extensive experience in Photography and with Photoshop. He was the Photo Editor at the Fredericton Daily Gleaner for 5 years and a Photographer with the Fredericton Daily Gleaner for over 25 years. Stephen grew up in Halifax, NS, but started his love for photography in Victoria, BC, before moving to Fredericton in 1989. Stephen has won many regional, national and international awards for his work.
